Shipping Equipment:

Follow these simple guidelines when shipping equipment to Embroidery Repair.

Shipping an EP-1, Stellar, or Premier controller is easily shipped using UPS. When packing equipment for shipping, use the original box and packing material if available. Otherwise, use a double walled box that is new and pad the machine with bubble wrap. Use smaller boxes etc. to fill large voids inside the box (such as the back part of an EP-1). Do not ship heavy items together in the same box such as an EP-1 with a Premier Controller. Use 2 boxes and ship as 2 packages.

DO NOT USE STYROFOAM PEANUTS for packing machines. Styrofoam peanuts shift inside the box during travel and do not provide proper support for shipping machines. Some shippers will void a damage claim if peanuts are used for heavy items. UPS has an excellent guide for shipping preparation, How To Prepare for Shipping. (It is recommended to insure your shipments against loss and damage.)

NOTE: When sending in an EP-1 or Stellar without the original box and packing material, it is suggested to remove the thread tree assembly from the machine to avoid damage (no need to ship the thread tree). Be sure to use a "Double Walled" box when shipping these machines.

Anything over 150 lbs. (EMC, CH, etc.) needs to be wood crated on a pallet and shipped via your preferred truck line such as Yellow Freight.
